R06.02.01.01-T01 Neutralize a tungsten ColorChecker shot in Lightroom Classic

Original instruction

Catalog fixtures/cc_tungsten.lrcat holds raw cc_tungsten.CR3 (ColorChecker under 3200 K tungsten). Develop it in Lightroom Classic so the chart reads neutral and correctly exposed, then export input-size sRGB JPEG to out/cc_neutral.jpg. Targets: gray patches 19–24 have |a*| and |b*| ≤ 2, patch 22 L* = 50 ± 2, no channel clipping on patch 19.

Proposed verifier

Locate patches via GT chart corners, sample 20×20 px centers, convert to CIELAB D65 and test targets. Catalog Adobe_libraryImageDevelopHistoryStep must show develop steps on this image; exports not tagged by Lightroom (EXIF Software) or XMP written by exiftool (sidecar mtime before history) are rejected. Lightroom's Lua plug-ins are disabled and catalog rows written outside the app are detected.

Proposed partial credit

40% patches 19–24 neutral within 2; 30% patch 22 L* in range; 15% no clipping on patch 19; 15% export at full size in sRGB from Lightroom.

R06.02.01.01-T02 Match six event portraits to a graded hero frame in Capture One

Original instruction

Capture One session fixtures/gala_session contains hero_01.IIQ (already graded) and six untouched raws shot under mixed stage light. Adjust white balance, exposure and Color Editor skin tones so each of the six matches the hero look. Export 3000 px sRGB JPEGs to out/gala/. Do not copy the hero's settings blindly; stage colors differ per frame.

Proposed verifier

On GT skin masks, mean ΔE2000 between each export and the hero skin mean ≤ 4; on GT neutral (white shirt) masks |a*|,|b*| ≤ 3. Session .cosessiondb adjustments must differ per variant (blind copy fails at least 3 frames by design). Exports must carry Capture One software tag. Capture One scripting (AppleScript on macOS) is disabled and session files written outside the app are caught by a file-write audit log.

60% skin ΔE ≤ 4 (10 points per image); 25% neutrals within 3 on ≥5 frames; 15% correct export size and color space.

R06.02.01.01-T03 Darken a sky by one stop with a drawn mask in darktable

Original instruction

Open fixtures/harbor.NEF in darktable (scene-referred workflow). Darken only the sky by about 1 EV using a drawn plus parametric mask on an exposure instance named 'sky -1EV', keeping buildings and masts untouched. Export a full-size 16-bit TIFF in sRGB to out/harbor_sky.tif and keep the edit in the library.

With GT masks: sky mean L* drops ≥ 8 vs a reference export without the instance; building region change ≤ 1 ΔE2000 mean; halo band (6 px around skyline) ΔL* ≤ 4. library.db history must include an exposure instance with that name and a drawn mask form; darktable-cli-only exports lack the mask history and fail. Lua scripting is disabled, and library.db/.xmp writes by any process other than darktable are logged and fail.

R06.02.01.01-T04 Apply lens corrections and level a horizon in Lightroom

Original instruction

R06.02.01.01-T05 Expose a backlit portrait to face and sky targets

Original instruction

Lightroom Classic catalog fixtures/backlit.lrcat contains backlit_portrait.CR3, face in shadow against a bright sky. Develop it so the face (use masking) sits at L* 60–68, the sky keeps detail with < 0.1% clipped pixels, and global contrast stays natural. Export sRGB JPEG to out/backlit.jpg.

R06.02.01.01-T06 Sync gray-card white balance across an interior shoot, then fix outliers

Original instruction

Folder 'Lobby' in fixtures/hotel.lrcat has 40 raws: frame lobby_000 shows a gray card. Set white balance from the card, sync it to all frames, then individually fix the 3 frames lit by neon signage so their GT neutral wall reads neutral. Export all 40 at 2048 px long edge to out/lobby/.

R06.02.01.01-T08 Merge and tone a 5-shot bracket into an interior HDR DNG

Original instruction

Lightroom Classic catalog fixtures/realestate.lrcat contains a 5-frame AEB bracket (±2 EV) of a living room with bright windows.
